I bet they are just waiting on additional cure time before they go ahead and buff. I'm stoked to see how this project turns out!

Thank you for this info! I'll get in touch with them. And good to know about the checking. Also, I took your advice about the vibrato and arm. Excited for assembly in the next few weeks.

Always thought these guitars were so cool after finding out The Cure used them so frequently. Can't wait to see this thing put together!

hard to tell from the pics but those bottom vibrato corners are pretty round, watch out for that.

jonathanelyashiv wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 12:19 amInteresting, is there a risk of the vibrato piece not fitting correctly? And if so, I’d just have to square those corners a bit?
yeah, AFAIRC it'll drop in fine but when you start "vibratoing" is when the problems start. it'll bind up on the round corners.
that Burgundy Mist JM posted in this threads corners were filed.

Great tone and great playing. I would not have ever guessed that a Bass VI could sound "right" on Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes, it's such a classic fretless tune. But it totally works.

Thank you so much! Still getting used to the narrow string spacing and how to approach playing it. Lots of fun though!

Thank you! It feels like it still needs to be broken in a bit, but I think thats the case with all new builds. And yes, luckily I did have a good result from them. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience. I found your thread shortly after I sent them my build and was worried they'd mess it up!ryandennis wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 8:15 pmAwesome playing and killer build.
