New Jazzblaster build complete
So I finished building my latest Jazzblaster. This will be the third one I've built and I've decided I'm keeping this one. She sports a MJT Firemist Gold body with Mastery vibrato and bridge. Original 1970's Wide Range Humbuckers. An American Professional Jazzmaster neck with block inlays and black headstock that I had radiused to 7.25 to match my vintage Jazzmasters. It plays like a dream and the humbuckers are amazing. Just wanted to share with a group I knew would appreciate her. The finish is much nicer in person, the pics don't do it justice.

That looks great and very fun. Love the color + black headstock.

That's super sharp! The black headstock with gold writing is such a nice touch on a gold guitar with black pickguard.

This is really sleazy in a super cool way. Makes me think of Rilo Kiley’s Under The Blacklight.
How does one go about changing the fretboard radius… is that is onerous as it sounds?

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I'm now going to always think of this guitar as sleazy....and i love it.sal paradise wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 11:30 pmThis is really sleazy in a super cool way. Makes me think of Rilo Kiley’s Under The Blacklight.

The fretboard was sanded with the 7.25 radius. It's actually not as daunting as you might think, just takes a little time and elbow grease.

Looks more like firemist gold, right? shoreline is usually lighter and more champagne colored. But it looks absolutely sick. What made you go 70's humbuckers? I didn't know if there was a difference or preference.

You are right, firemist gold! I edited the first post. I’ve had them laying around for a couple years and have been waiting for the right project to throw them in to.N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 10:56 amLooks more like firemist gold, right? shoreline is usually lighter and more champagne colored.
