Favorite body/pickguard color combinations?
I've got an Abernethy Sonic Empress on order, but am struggling to figure what color body and pickguard I want.
What are you favorite combinations? If you could you post a photo along with it, that'd be great.

Re: Favorite body/pickguard color combinations?
I'm boring and as such I'm a sucker for a three tone 'burst and a gold anodized pickguard. To me when I imagine a JM that's imediatly what pops into my head, to the extent that I've not bought perfectly good guitars because I wanted a Sunburst one.
Funnily enough, I find myself far more embracing of custom colours now I have a sunburst Jazzmaster. Maybe I got it out of my system.
As far as more vibrant colours go, I love sherwood and cadillac green, and Ice blue metalic is a favorite as well.

I do love shell pink with a mint guard:
I have two shell pink guitars, though...I gotta go with something different.

I prefer black or mint or pick guards for most colors. Not a fan of tortoise except for a few exceptions, like Blonde.
I have liked a few off the wall combos I have seen lately though.
Orange pick guard on a warm grey or metallic silver body.
Red pick guard on a cream or Pearl metallic body.
Blue pick guard on a pale blue guitar.

Charcoal frost and mint
Fiesta red/coral and mint
Orange with gold pickguard
Olympic white with faded orange tort
Charcoal frost and mint would be my favorite, but there are so many amazing color combinations. A lot of the time, I don't like certain things separately (gold guards or hardware, green guitars (usually)), but sometimes there's a magic when a color scheme comes together.
