Based on everything you’ve said so far, I would definitely go with the option above that I highlighted. Makes the most sense to me and not too cost intensive. I think that’s a great place to start. See what you get and then mod from there if need be.

welp, i pulled the trigger on a used JMascis from sweetwater. $379 all in.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/265543601203?e ... L#viTabs_0

i really did/do want a daphne blue, but felt like this was a great price? and i went to GC a few weeks back & played the CV & the JM...the JM definitely felt better & i liked the sound a little better.

i'm excited, but I do have a few questions.

1. how easy/difficult is it to change out the pickguard? do i need to worry about shielding anything like that when i do?

2. if i swap the neck for my strat neck, would i need to do a shim to get it right or is that not necessary with the different bridge?

3. after swapping the necks, should i expect a bunch of adjusting to get it to play well (bridge/neck adjustments)?

anything else i should be thinking about? Thanks for all your help!
