Brio Guitar Necks- Jazzmaster with B+B...anybody have one?
Hey all!
Snooping around for Jazzmaster necks for a project and came across this really nice looking B+B Jazzmaster neck for a reasonable price from Brio:
Anyone have any experiences with these necks? Hows the quality and fit and finish? Seems like a great option for us B+B lovers

I messaged the guy because I wanted to get in contact with the manufacturer to make a jag neck and to do correct radius and smaller frets. Messages me back and said he only sells for brio. Said brio’s shop in Canada had just been heavily damaged by a landslide as well. I almost took a gamble and bought one, but I really want a jag for my next build

Oh wow that’s crazy. I’m surprised there isnt more noise about them because they seem to be the most reasonably priced, (maybe) high quality b+b jazzmaster necks out there..

For that price, you're better off buying a real one from Stratosphere.

Truth is, no one makes block sizes correctly. That’s the whole appeal. One cannot simply get correct aftermarket blocks and binding at stratosphere. A small detail, but an important one for us b-&b lovers.CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:04 pmFor that price, you're better off buying a real one from Stratosphere.

But then, placement of the side-markers would drive you crazy...Unicorn Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 10:16 amTruth is, no one makes block sizes correctly. That’s the whole appeal. I'm quite tempted to get one of these too.RIORIO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 8:27 amHey all!

If you can live with the slightly different headstock shape - there are also Fender Coronado II necks available (presumably factory surplus) from Chinese sellers on Ebay - which are very decent indeed for the money.
Considering getting another one and cutting the headstock to Strat/JM shape and painting it CAR to go with my Marauder body (when it arrives - PostNord has managed to lose it between my front door and the pickup point 250 yards down the road) - but it kind of feels like vandalism as they are really good necks as they are.

Thanks to this post and another thread, I literally just bought one of these from a link I found in another thread on here. Happy as a clam to have found one that cheap with accurate looking block. Nevermind the headstock. Looks like 2022 will see a project!MC5tooge wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 11:27 amI'm quite tempted to get one of these too.RIORIO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 8:27 amHey all!

If it's the same spec as mine, they're good. I doubt you'll be disappointed. I actually prefer mine to the AVRI '62 necks I've owned/played.Unicorn Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 12:15 pmThanks to this post and another thread, I literally just bought one of these from a link I found in another thread on here. And they're just begging for a matched headstock!

These look good to me. I wish they had a dot + binding one. I'll probably pick these up next time I see a good deal on a body.

Preach. I can live with side markers being off but proper sized blocks make all the difference to me visuallyUnicorn Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 10:16 amTruth is, no one makes block sizes correctly. I can't even find their site. I know you said you contacted a guy who just sells their necks - but were you able to get a contact info to alter specs? I'm legit super interested.RIORIO wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 1:23 pmGreat minds....N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 12:56 pmThese look good to me. I wish they had a dot + binding one. That was me who contacted the guy. It was the reverb seller. Anyway, the reverb seller would not disclose any of their contact information. He specifically said he doesn’t give info that out. I find that really odd. I also find it odd that they don’t sell their necks directly. Anyway, they look great. But again..just a little ambiguous. I wanted to see about a jag neck and I had let them know. Didn’t matter to the reverb seller. I’m not sure if it would matter to Brio or not. Maybe there’s another way you could find themN0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 7:19 pmI can't even find their site.
