Are CIJ Jag pickups RWRP?

Post by RumorsOFsurF » Sat Jan 05, 2008 10:20 pm

I noticed my new (old) CIJ Jag is a hum machine!!  It seems to be very well shielded, compared to my old CIJ, and my CIJ JM.  I was near my computer monitor, and it was buzzing like crazy, so I switched both pickups on.  Still hums like crazy.

It doesn't really matter too much, as I intend to replace the pickups/wiring/pots anyway, but I was curious.
Damn kids, get off my lawn!

Nope. At least not on my '86/'87.

Hi Rumours. When I got my CIJ Jag with stock p/ups, they were quite noisy and did not "buck the hum" when both switched on.
When I changed them out to SD-1's they hum-bucked when both engaged.
I think I read somewhere the AVRI's don't hum-buck with both p/ups on. Said something about the great oversight in the re-issues.
