Johnny Marr Jag tremolo arm nylon bushing insert

Hello all - has anyone ever installed the nylon bushing from the Johnny Marr Jaguar into your Jag or JM tremolo system? I’m wondering if it can just pop into any non-screw in assembly to help keep the arm in place.
