Japanese Jazzmaster repro parts - have you guys seen these?
...so I was poking around for parts for my Les Paul Junior build and stumbled across this Japanese builder of exactly cloned parts. There isn't a ton of stuff for Jazzmasters, but the fact they have any makes me keep an eye out. I wonder if these guys would be interested in producing 9 hole gold guards? The downside is the exchange rate isn't too favorable for those of us in the US and something as simple as some witchats cost $80. Scroll all the way down for the Fender repro parts.
Boy those Les Paul guys must all be trust fund kids to support an after market for highly accurate but also highly expensive cloned parts...also makes me wonder how many "fake" Les Pauls are out there posing as real ones....

...by the way, I just found these repro parts as well. From a company in singapore - looks like they do a bound strat neck - with the large headstock!

...not sure if I want to be the guy who sends money to singapore for that, but there sure are a lot more repro cloned stuff over in Asia for sale publicly that I was completely unaware of. Wonder if any of it is any good....

I like that they have a '62-style Jazzy knob set, with the correct three-spoke construction. $65 is a lot of money, bu if it's the only game in town, then it's the only game in town. What do you think shipping from Japan on something like that would be?

Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Interesting....I'll have to ping him to see how he likes the quality. There is just that whole stigma of the serviceman's guitar...I would hate to buy it and instead of maple and rosewood it's agathis and who knows that else..the older brother wrote:theworkoffire have that bound neck on the buickmasterglimmertwin wrote: ...by the way, I just found these repro parts as well.
