Problem with Chandler pickguards anyone?

Post by the older brother » Mon Jun 09, 2008 4:59 am

After 2 weeks since I asked for a quote on an Electric XII pickguard and still not a word from them (I've sent a nicely written reminder/question about it once) I begin to wonder if:

1. Their business is down, or:
2. They are choked with orders, or maybe:
3: They don't give a fuck about a stupid foreigner asking silly questions about models noone wants.

Anyone have any experience with these guys? Please post about it!

Or maybe an alternative to them (PM me if so).

???

BTW - Mods are free to move this thread. I couldn't  decide where it belonged....
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

I remember emailing them for some material-related questions... It took 10 days to get an answer. So, it's not #1. Might be somewhere between #2 & #3. ;D

....here's #4:

4. They are a bunch of dirty pot smoking field hippies in northen California and have simply "spaced out" on your order.

Try ordering some pickups from Bartolini, It's like Cheech & Chong.

Hey Charlie Chandler...FILL OLDER BROTHER'S FUCKIN' ORDER!!!!!!

Where I work , it's like this:
Rule #1: FILL THE ORDER
Rule #2: SEE RULE #1!

I once ordered a Barney Kessel pickguard w/o the pickup rout cutout from Chandler and it was running a few days late, When I called to inquire, I was very polite and professional on the phone but the "lady" (who I belive may have been Mrs. Chandler) was very snippy and snarky form the start and said it's on the the way, I replied Thank You for the update and that was it.

I got the quote today. Three lines:
pattern # 9 - in mat'l #7 - guard cost - US$ 30.00

shipping and handling - US$ 22.00

Total amount to send via PayPal - US$ 52.00
that would make an average of one word a day or so..... Oh forgot - they did some math to (adding 22 to 30) haha.

pot may be the answer - or horse tranquilizer  ;D
