Halon bridge

Is the Halon bridge a good option for a Jazzmaster vintera 60's modified?

Info on those is pretty scare - at least in North America - I would reach out to them via their website for fitment details.

There's some people around here that like them, but I'm not a fan.

I would like to try one tbh - but its a steep buy in and you can kind of get lost in the options available....

I have one on my partsmaster. It's a really nice piece of kit.
Basically, it's 3 Telecaster saddles resting on a JM bridge, which I personally like :)

For the AOM-equipped 'vintage modified' Vintera , presumably you want the JM-AOM variant of the Halon (that sits on top of the existing AOM posts).

They do have a lot of options - best thing to do is to contact them directly via Facebook and they'll make a recommendation based on what you're after tone-wise. Their website is a bit sparse on detail, but here's what I was able to ascertain from a recent conversation:
  • If you are after a fuller tone you should choose one of our copper based alloys (Ms 58 brass, phosphor bronze, aluminium bronze). Aluminium bronze is new and not uploaded to the e-shop yet.

  • Ms 58 brass produces a rich, full and sustained tone. Phosphor bronze has the same characteristics but with added excellent note separation and crystal clear tone. Aluminium bronze has the same qualities as phosphor bronze but slightly enhances the high harmonics more

  • You can also choose a mix (ms 58 brass with phosphor bronze saddles for example)

  • Full phosphor bronze and aluminium bronze bridges are a limited run (16 pieces of each for 2023)

What does that even mean…

Who wants less tone? What even is less tone?
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

When I ordered mine, I just ignored the "exotic" options. I have bronze saddles on some of my guitars and steel saddles on others, and I don't have a strong preference for either so I just sent with what I thought looked better for the guitar

Also, you don't have to use Facebook if you don't want to. I did it all by email.

Crap... Now I gotta think about that as a replacement for the AOM on the Maverick Dorado...

I too have a Vintera 60s modified JM and am thinking about trying out a Halon JM-AOM variant of the bridge.

Does anyone know which mounting spacing to get? 73mm or 74mm?

73mm is the standard, but if in doubt send Halon a message. They seem to be pretty good at responding to such queries.
