I tried a 10 high E and had the same problem.
I shimmed the neck and have 9's on it. It is much better. I just avoid doing stretches that are over one step on the upper register on the high E. I'm going to modify a Wilkinson roller TOM bridge to fit the same diameter holes in the body and see how that works. The guitar is 95% there, I just like to stretch strings with wild abandon. Loving the clarity of this guitar. I have some prog rock tunes that require high gain but also use flavored (jazz) chords. I used to use different overdrives to manage the different gain levels but this guitar has enough clarity to hear the chords. I'm really happy with it.
I apologize for the second thread.
