CAVEAT: Now, I don’t nothin about wiring, so don’t ask this little ol country boy HOW this would work
Do you use the Jazzmaster rhythm circuit much/at all? Yeah, me neither.
So I’m sitting in my recording/dining space, and I thinks to myself, “Self, would you use that rhythm switch more if you could blend the pickups with 2 little volume wheels?” “Well, self 2, I just might!”
Would the mixing be more fun if the pickups were in series?

Re: Random Jazzmaster Wiring Ideas
Blending would be possible, you’d need to replace the 50k tone with a 1 Meg pot. Then wire each individual pickup to their respective volume, then to the master volume and tone. The question then is what to do with the slide switch. Series this wouldn’t really work, as they essentially become one pickup, you could vary the amount each pickup is sent to ground, but that’s beyond my expertise, you can easily do this with humbuckers and vary how much one coil is cut. Little more difficult with 2 pickups.
