Cobain Jaguar odd neck screw question.

I have question regarding the neck screws on the Cobain NOS Jaguar.

Having adjusted the trust rod, I have noticed the neck has been screwed on by the factory using odd screws.

3 coarse 22 thread, and 1 finer 26 thread screw.

Can anyone confirm if this is normal? Have the same screw setup on there version please.

This was purchased new so came like this from factory.

Personally I think it’s odd, or perhaps a finer screw has been used to help with higher string gauge tension?

Thanks

I'm guessing this was a bulk packaging QC error at the screw factory and nobody else noticed along the way.

That is a tone secret! You weren't supposed to tell anyone. T_T

Sounds like someone screwed up at the factory.

Thanks for replies...

I understand it should be these: SCREW SMA 8 X 1-3/4 OHP NKL

Would replacing the odd one, not be a good idea?

Having now looked closer at the underside of the neck pocket, the fit and finish isn’t the best...

A potential problem will be if the correct screw is unable to bite into the neck sufficiently due to the hole having been cut with a finer thread originally. A sure fix is dowel and redrill but this isn’t really acceptable on a brand new instrument IMHO.
