Puretone output jack

I've just installed one of these on my Jaguar. I wasn't expecting miracles, I was wanting it more for the tightness of connection so I wouldn't have to adjust the lug tension every 6 months or so on my old output jack.

One thing I noticed as soon as I plugged in my guitar after installation was a decrease in hum! I was not expecting it and very pleasantly surprised by it. My rig is by no means loud with high quality cables, patches and a truetone cs12 for isolated power, but I noticed a significant loss of hum from the puretone jack. Well worth the small price of admission.

I wish I'd done it sooner, the jacks been sat on my desk for about 3 months.

Just thought I'd share :)

Jack

Nice!

I have one too (and a couple more in the drawer). Me: "Sure, mister snakeoil salesman, I'll try it. Whatever."

Mine's also in a Jaguar, but not really—a Squier VM Jaguar bass. I'd rewired the whole thing when I replaced mine (so, a different experiment), but that bass is pretty quiet now too. Solid connection without being overly firm—idk what else goes in an output jack review.
A+ and an "it's fine" out of 10.

I put one in a telecaster build & was impressed, mostly with how firm it felt.
They also come standard on the fender hybrid 2 line.

Cool. I bought one as i got a new switch from WD music and this is what they had. Tbf when it arrived i thought- how does a jack fit in that? Overkill? But considering my other socket was dodgy for so long, i think a standard style but quality i should be pleased then.
