Mastery bridge post screw stripped, how can I remove them?

Post by Vendetagainst » Sat Dec 04, 2021 1:38 pm

Hey y'all,

The vented screw that holds one of the bridge posts to the baseplate of my Mastery is stripped, so when I put an Allen wrench in there it just spins around. I got some replacement posts, but how can I remove the stripped screw? I tried using a monkey wrench, no dice. I also tried putting some rubber bands in there for extra grip, but that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Can you file / dremel a slot in there? Then you can use a flathead screwdriver.

Screw extractor / easy out should do it. The fact that it’s a vented screw should make it easier.

Ah, should've thought of that! Thanks!

Oh cool, didn't know these where things. If the file idea doesn't work, I'll have to purchase a drill and some of these then!
