I found a bridge plate on eBay that should work. I just need to get saddles. :) Thanks though. Super appreciated.

But the saddle grooves are off center?

They have to be for a Tele. I agree that it's sub-optimal.

The listing says to use strat style saddles. :)

Yes, that will work as long as the back wall of the the plate is about 1/4" further back from the string through holes than a standard ashtray plate. I learned that the hard way, hence the barrel saddles on my bridges.

Yeah...it was a huge bummer when I learned my guitar bridges didn't intonate correctly with the intended saddles.

However, once I discovered those Allparts barrel saddles I realized I could modify the second batch of guitar bridges so they were both top-load and string-through, just like my basses.

Sadly, Hipshot seems to have gotten out of the small-batch custom hardware game, at least for now. So it goes.

I wonder why. It isn't like less people are buying guitars.

Yes, they're buying MORE. My custom work was filling excess capacity, but there is no more excess capacity.

Seems like that is the time to continue for hipshot, not to pull back unless they are having worker staffing issues.

Both the workers and the machines are at max capacity for high-volume, high-demand production and I'm neither of those things.

It seems like it should work great. I like the metal contrast of rustic black and nickle.

Nice work, both on finding the plate and on the build itself!
