Flattened JM trem screws for UK?

Hi.

I have the classic low E touching the rounded screw head on the trem.

Can anybody point me to a source for a flatter/non-domed replacement available in the UK?

Rather not run the screws upside down.

Thanks!

I bought a box of slotted screws with the same head. Tried out several until one lines up nice.

How have I never seen this as as solution before?

I made some years ago with some stainless bolts. I used a bench grinder (you could easily do it with a Dremel or fine engineers file if you took it slowly). With the bench grinder it took me about 2-5 seconds to flatten them off the right amount.

Is there still enough room for the string to vibrate freely? If so, that is genius!

Yes. Very little movement at that point. I like it as a solution because it keeps the overall aesthetic. #8-32 x 1/4”. Worth a try.
