hey all,
i'm thinking about ordering a spitfire guard but i have found some talk on this forum (and one other) about the lower horn (output jack) and rhythm circuit "ramp" - for lack of a better descriptor - being off in their dimensions and/or angles when compared to a Fender guard. i should say that the last post i found detailing this sort of problem was from 2016 or 2015, so maybe Spitfire has since fixed their template or whatever (if it was in fact an issue in the first place )
does anyone have experience w. this and if so can you share pics?
thank you
spitfire dimensions off? is this a thing or no?

I haven't seen anyone complain about his pickguards being off. I have had two or three Jazzmaster pickguards of his, one Mustang one (that I still have), and a couple Jaguar ones. They were all made well and fit my Fenders fine.

Both Spitfire guards I've had fit my JM's perfectly (one '65 Thin Skin and one Mexican 60th Anniversary). I had to enlarge the output jack hole slightly on both but was not a big deal.

Links to the numerous threads where this has been discussed previously?

If you mean his bevel the guard is cut it is different than modern because it is the vintage correct bevel. Also the thinner black layer in his sort is also more vintage correct than modern guards. It isn't off, it is more historically accurate. (If that is what you mean by ramp.)
