Did a test cut today, worked out ok, extremely tight on the long sides as there is only about 0.75mm available. I will do a bit more testing.
man that looks great, makes me want to put some humbuckers in on of my jazzmasters now.

This thread kept reminding me of a promoted post I kept seeing on Instagram about a company that was making these kind of adapters. I finally saw that post again so here’s the link to their Etsy page with their adapter.

Novak makes HBs that fit in the JM footprint, no mods necessary.
I have a set of the Novak JM-PAFs, currently building a JM around them.

I know this is a super old thread (sorry for the rebump), but trying to figure out what colour that Grant Nicholas' (Feeder) JM is in the first photo of this thread is. Looks like it may be a Sherwood Green but non-metallic (did Fender make these?) but, after way too long trying to figure it out, if some could let me know that would be hugely appreciated?
I don't think Sherwood green is normally metallic?
Sherwood Green is metallic but not metalflake, the sparkle bits are smaller. it is not a flat color like Fiesta Red, Daphne Blue or Olympic White. Metal flake has bigger flakes in it than metallic paint jobs.

That sort of HB with the solid cover, no screws look is great.
