I have a set in my jag currently. Truly fantastic sounding pickups.

Switch, Marr bridge, vol/vol, kill (because something had to go there, not because I wanna get all Tom morello)
I figured a vintera was never gonna be worth anything, so I feel no guilt for getting frisky with a router.

Re: Eyguitar WRHB Jazzmaster pickups?
I've done up two Jags with his FBs:
Also a JM. Though that second Jag is technically his Big Birds, which are wound on PAf sized bobbins, but they're true Firebird construction in terms of the magnets, steel plate, etc.
I also have Sunday Handwound FBs in PAF covers, though those are true FB bobbins inside.
So yeah, I think I've put enough Firebirds in things that it's OK to try these EY pickups in the JM partsmaster instead of another pair of FBs

They're literally in my cart, I just haven't checked out because I have this thing where 100% of the time, I realize I need like...a single extra potentiometer than I have, which I could have easily ordered along with the other parts I just did. So I'm giving it a few days to look through my parts drawers and think of that one pot, jack, switch, or pickguard that I'm about to realize I want to order but didn't
There's also no time pressure, because I'm putting my Kinmans in my resurrected partsmaster for now. I've got a vintage parts build that they're earmarked for, but that's weeks to months away due to refinishing and gathering a few more parts, so this one will be their home from now. So as long as the EY pickups are here before that guitar's ready to be soldered up, I'll be good.

Don't buy pots from EYGuitar... They're not any cheaper than what you can get here and their non-pickup electronic parts apparently aren't very good. Just get that stuff on Reverb. The curse of shipping to Canada. Not ever worth buying a pot or two individually. EY has CTS pots, they're not cheaper than elsewhere but getting them thrown in for zero extra shipping makes them like 50% cheaper compared to getting stuff from most other places for me. Same goes for knobs, etc.
I've bought small parts from EY before and have been perfectly happy with them. Got some great looking witch hats for SO much cheaper than any other option I have.

Oh, yeah, all the plastics, hardware, and pickups seem to be good. I've got their witch hats on a couple guitars. The Mustang bridges are awesome! As far as pots, can't go wrong with CTS. I feel like last time I looked they had one Fender packaged CTS but that was the only brand named pot or switch. Maybe they got more in since I last looked.Embenny wrote: βSun Aug 20, 2023 8:09 amThe curse of shipping to Canada. Not ever worth buying a pot or two individually. They pretty much carry all the CTS pots I ever use last I checked - 250k, 500k and 1M CTS pots in various tapers and shaft lengths, including smooth shaft versions for traditional set screw knobs.GilmourD wrote: βSun Aug 20, 2023 1:15 pmOh, yeah, all the plastics, hardware, and pickups seem to be good. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy pots from them, but when I'm paying shipping anyway, I like to look ahead at all the builds/mods/maintenance I plan to do in the next while and make sure I stock up on anything that's obviously missing.

Now that I'm looking at the site it's also entirely possible that I've lost my mind and somehow didn't see the CTS pots...
These were the pots I was warned against.

Oh for sure, I avoid unlabeled junk pots regardless of the source. I'm not someone who rips out every stock pot that isn't CTS or Emerson, but when I do build or replace electronics, I don't mess around with generic unbranded crap.
