Changin Pickups on my Squier 60s Jaguar

Post by jgpouton » Tue Nov 29, 2022 2:44 am

Hi,

I plan to change the pickups on my Squier Jaguar and I'd like to install Vender Pure Vintage pickups (shorturl.at/cdt16).

Apart from the pickups, should I change the volume pot or is there a volume pot value specific to the Pure Vintage pickups? Thank you.

Cheers

You don't need to change the volume pot, as there is likely a 1Meg already installed in the both lead and rhythm circuit. My CV Jag had 1megs on the lead, and that value is vintage correct to the era. Specs could always change or vary, so you might want to check when you pull the control plates. Of course you could change to other common values like 500k or 250k, but that's all personal preference.
