Do metal pickup rings affect tone?
I’ve got my eye on a set of metal pickup rings for my humbuckers. Will this influence the tone in my jazzmaster?

I doubt it. Even most (modern) covers, which are non-magnetic, have basically no tonal difference.

I didn't find to to be so on my Les Paul.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

If the rings are made from a magnetic material it makes sense they would have some effect, although whether it’s perceptable is a different matter.

It's one of those things where technically there would be some eddy currents that "could" affect a tiny bit of high end, but I'd be shocked if it was perceptible or even measurable at the level of the amplified guitar signal.
