Hey, it's a start! They'll never please everyone. At least they tried with the headstock shape...they could have taken an easy way out with that (shame it's not matching). Any kind of affordable XII is a good thing.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Great that they got there in the end but not for me, the headstock is a thumbs down..

Got a feeling curtis novak will be having his best year for XII pups.

I think it’s a great effort for Squier. It’s not a copy of an old model gone wrong, it’s a new variation (including the headstock).

I‘d definitely get a blue one if I hadn’t bought a LPB AR XII when they came out (which I have zero regrets about).

Wow. It’s, erm, ugly. Looks better in blue. But something about that bridge .
Id swap the saddles out for genuine Gotoh..
Ive had problems with gotoh "style" bridges.

Welp... Okay.

Buying BOTH.

Not because I love it, but because it's a XII, and I have a problem.

Would be great to hear your thoughts when you get your hands on one. Although I’m likely to order a blue one the moment they appear for sale over here & order a left handed nut.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

agreed! I'm definitely considering buying it as is and do my own body shape, then baritone the rest. net win for Squier and me as far as I am concerned.

that and either the sonic coral bronco or the rascal bass.... I can't quit fender.

Should we start a new petition for a real Electric XII?

So, the white one came in this week, and DAMN. It's GREAT for what I paid, (under $400 with the shop's Dads & Grads special, WITH a free setup by my usual 12-string tech.) Hell, I like it initially as much as the Fender ARXII. I'm going to go play it more- will post some pics & more thoughts after.

That incorrectly implies that Fender paid attention to the first one. And we need a CV Starcaster Bass much more than a another Squier 12 String. It does kind of amaze me that so many are expressing disappointment before ever seeing one, much less playing one. I guess they just wanted them for wall art and have no need to hear what they sound like nor how they feel. ;D

alright i agree. we need at least limited models of these:
- CV starcaster bass (or they can make it a limited paranormal model if they want)
- Coronado (they can make it a limited paranormal model if they want)
- Cornonado bass (they can make it a limited paranormal model if they want)
- Jarman
- Sonic Jagstang

i like the goofy non vintage correct xii. its a limited model, and its fine.

We need a classic vibe XII.

NEED it.

Take my money.

That Jazzmaster XII isn't going to do it for me.
