Hey guys, first post. I came across this forum/thread while researching Mascis Jazzmaster upgrades, and whoa, there's a lot of great info. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows when Staytrem will have more of the newer TOM-stlye bridges in stock, or if there will be any at all? The site appears to be temporarily down.

I just got mine last month, they have both rocking and non-rocking versions available.

Looks like they're just closed for the Holidays.

Before the site closed for the holiday, the TOM Staytrem was listed as out of stock but not discontinued. May be just a wait until more are machined.

Vibrato should be fine, bridge will have to have the posts plugged and redrilled.

pickguard, tone/volume knobs, bridge, and trem.



The differences in the bridge and trem are ridiculous. #1 recommendation/upgrade
(pickups/electronic upgrades will be next once I decide what to go with..)

What are some pickup recommendations?
I've been looking at JBE jm pickups but that's just based off
of a band/guitar player that I like (the messthetics).

I love white pickguards on these, really brings out the off-white of the body.

Did you re-drill for the mastery?

I did have to have it doweled and drilled. I ended up taking it to a local luthier and had it done with a properly. I honestly couldn't be happier with how it is currently. I'm stoked.

Also splurged on the string tree.. it is a nice touch i suppose.

Getfuzzed, electric12... you two have just re-ignited my JMJM-Gas! Mint/White looks even better than Tortoise on that specific colour!
Sadly there wasn't even a single one to get locally/used since March!

Luisfranco ... depends on where you live - but big T (Thomann) got them for 38€ which is a bit expensive imo - but there's also a seller in the UK on reverb.com who sells them for about 21€+shipping.

It had a fender trem plate but the original TOM. Flat black 1-ply PG and black chicken heads. Swapped the stock neck for a Mighty Mite strat unit with a deep V profile, replaced the pots with 250k units, had treble bleed installed, the tone is a push pull affair that completely bypasses the volume and tone circuits, and I had the rhythm circuit rewired to switch the pickups from series to parallel. This renders the rhythm volume and tone pots useless, but I'm sure I'll think of something to do with them eventually.
