does anyone know where it says how many are made?
Fender rarely directly states the production numbers - I heard the 300 number from the shop where i ordered mine
You can actually e-mail them directly. That's how I found out the USA 58ri from 2018 that was marketed as 500 pieces only, was in fact 500 for the US and 100 for the rest of the world, in total 600 worldwide.

That's not any kind of yellow, that's Capri Orange!!! And it's perfect :?
It's actually a Yellow-Orange if you want to get technical, meaning it is predominantly yellow.

I love how obnoxious this is on a guitar. It's like, this guitar doesn't give a fuck whether you like it or not. :-*

I don't need one, as I already own an MKO, but I'm prob getting one, as this is my fav color. I almost bought a Beck Mustang in competition orange, but this is the perfect yellow-orange color for me :-) But Fender prices are getting out of hand, esp for those of us living outside the US. I'll prob have to pay twice as much as I did for my MKO ...

ordered one just after seeing the fender email . typically, i prefer to buy from independent retailers but only saw sweetwater showing it as a pre-order, so did order from fender direct. glad i did as it looks sold out. tracking is showing it's supposed to arrive today, but looks like only label was created and hasn't left san bernadino yet. while i didn't need another jm jag , i couldn't resist this colorway. i have a first year production KO and a sherwood. they do play and sound differently tho. had an LPB, but sold.it. now i'm going thru all my gear looking to figure out what to put on reverb. it's the never ending cycle of gas.

Pretty cool promo video for this new one by Fender: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI4Db_iDqXE

I wonder why they made it a different shade to the one he's been playing in his recent videos, which is definitely more yellow. Think I prefer this more orange version, but curious they changed it.

I'm gonna say out loud that I bet these are more yellow than the Fender Promo shots. They always photograph Olympic White as this warm cream colour when it's very very white IRL and I think these photos are deceptive in their shade.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

In that promo he's playing the new one in his own studio, and I compared it to a video of him playing his personal one in the same studio and it never looks like it could be orange. So unless they've done something very strange with the lighting in the same room, I'm pretty sure it's a different colour.

Fender already took it off the front page of their website, and guitars started popping up on Reverb marked up hundreds of dollars. :D :D :D :fp:

I already own a white JM Jag and really dig it. When the first shots of JM playing the original yellow came out in February, I made up my mind I was going to have one. I followed the release religiously and had one; signed, sealed, paid for...but not shipped/delivered. When I saw the new color I immediately cancelled the guitar, barely before it was shipped.

Man, I just don't dig that new color. To each his own, for sure and I am happy for those of you that like it. I think the JM Jag is super versatile and it is funny that in the release video, JM is all bridge pup, all the time! Here are three photos.

The original yellow in February, 2022:

The guitar from the great JM promo vid September 2022:

And a shot with better lighting from the Fender promo September 2022:

...FWIW...

just got mine and the color is definitely similar to the latest fender promo video, rather than what it looks like in his live at the crazy face factory on YT. but i bet it looks more yellow there due to the lighting and editing, which wasn't a fender video. the actual guitar looks to have the same hue of the headstock, just a tad darker, if that makes sense. it's almost a matching headstock :D . and if you look at the crazy face factory video, it's the same hue, just a tad darker as well. but who knows, i dig this color whether one considers it more orange than yellow.

the one i did get, is noticeably lighter than my sherwood and has a good set up direct from fender. only thing is i just discovered there seems to be a loose connection in the 3rd and 4th pickup positions, as it went mute a few times. overall, she's a keeper.
