Very nice.

That Coronet/Wiltshire/etc...does it suffer from the same thing that SGs have where it will bend out of tune just by moving with the neck in hand? I love the look and sound of them but if they do that same thing SGs do then it's a hard 'no' from me. I have an offer outstanding on a mid-60s one that's been tempting me but that is holding me back.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

As it is from '60 it actually has a monster r9 neck. After '60 the necks slimmed down tremendously.
It's a beast!

Yeah, I've read they get thinner (and the mid-60's ones have a lovely narrow nut). I find that SG's, because of how they attach at the heel, will warp in tuning just by bending down to twist a pedal knob

That's probably the secret reason why Angus doesn't use pedals...? 💡😲

I genuinely don't know how he makes it work. I felt like I had to have the grip of a baby bird to not warp the tuning. I tend to grip pretty hard and wrestle my guitars a bit but even testing SGs at home, and trying not to, it still did it even when I was basically holding it like a Fabergé Egg :D

Did you use your normal set of 12s? I feel like that could have something to do with it. ;)

Current state of my collection. Almost ready to put our house on the market, then we'll be renting for ~6 months and taking our time with the hunt for the right new home. Whatever didn't fit on the wall, is packed securely in storage pods - stuff with poly finishes, stuff that's easier to replace, stuff with hard cases, etc. I'll eventually narrow these down to eight, to go in 4 double gig bags, that will ride in my car with me, along with my Tweed Princeton and a handful of pedals. I'll probably take the Breedlove and Squier Tele to GC soon and trade them for credit. A few more of these will get packed away soon too.

I still have a few builds to assemble too. Plus, copaceticcustoms is finishing up a Jag neck/body (I'm in no rush for that, if you're reading this :D ), and an Artemis body right now.

What’s the story with those basses? They look awesome. I’m not normally one for showy things but they are calling for me.

They’re Mark Hoppus signature Jaguars. He’s been ordering them from Fender and selling them on his online store.
