Re: Post pics of your guitar family
Apologies for the weird catalog photo layout. I was documenting my collection for insurance purposes and I don't actually have any current group photos... There's a couple missing, a Fender Player SSS Strat in Tidepool which I acquired just last week, and an old Yamaha FG-340 Dreadnought Acoustic (technically my Mother's) which has been at a friend's house for the last 6 years. I should probably retrieve it at some point. I'm planning on trying to thin the collection down this year to about half this size. I just don't use my gear as much as I used to.
ECJM, TMJM, TVLJM, ADH Longscale Jaguar, Squier JM, Squier Mini JM
ARXII, Warmoth JM XII, MIJ Strat XII, EOB Strat, TDL Hardtail Strat with Baritone Conversion Neck, Artist Mini Strat
4x Partscasters, Highway One Tele, Avril Lavigne Tele

Here's my current offset collection. I like to look at them when I'm feeling blue. It's an AV65 Jag, Traditional 70s Mustang, Vintera 60s Jazzmaster and JMJ Mustang bass.

That's a great looking family! Did you refin the Mustang? I've never seen one of those with a matching headstock.

Re: Post pics of your guitar family
Cheers!
I was looking over all the instruments I've owned over the years (most have been sold off) and I count myself very lucky to have had the opportunity to play with a pretty good assortment of cool, nice and sometimes kinda eccentric guitars...
I was thinking of making a "Guitars I've sold post"... Is there a thread for that already?

No refin, the Mustang was a limited run from Fender Japan and I think I grabbed the last one for sale here in the UK. California Blue. Not seen that colour before, and I love matching headstocks. It's the lightest guitar I own and super comfortable to play. Took me forever to figure out the vibrato, and nearly sold it in frustration, but finally got there.

That's awesome! I'm a sucker for matching headstocks and blue. That one looks <chef's kiss>. Do you have any close-ups shots?Downsman wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 1:26 amNo refin, the Mustang was a limited run from Fender Japan and I think I grabbed the last one for sale here in the UK. Current offset family...
Aztec Gold 2012 AV65
Black MIJ 66BB
Black Korina home build Jazzblaster
Burgundy Mist Metallic 2018 Custom Shop
By some weird twist of fate and emergency the necks on the AV65 and the MIJ had to get swapped before a gig a couple of years back. Weirdly, both felt better for it... So it stuck
Amps are an OG 1965 VibroChamp and a 2010 Princeton.

I’ve got a similar collection and a couple of spare necks and pickguards, I love swapping them round occasionally, it’s like getting new guitars. I guess it’s a middle aged man’s version of dressing up my dollsjohnnysomersett wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 4:01 amWait til you find out I'm doing the matching headstock mod to them swapped toogaryptaszek wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 1:55 amSwap those necks back and restore order to the galaxy, I can’t fucking sleep at night since finding out about this!
