That orange metallic Squier Jag bass?
Nope, the silver metallic one with the black pickguard of course

it's here. made in mexico player jaguar bass from 2018.

i'll get better pictures later but this thing has been played pretty hard but sounds the shit. i was going to change the pickups but they just sound so good. annoyingly, it came with one of those dimarzio clip straps which suck ass out a straw but i'm sure i've got better strap buttons somewhere else. so what's the plan?

mods baby. not going crazy but probably just things like fender's badass bridge copy, hipshot d-tuner and maybe upgrade the pots. keep it simple.

Looks sweet. It's great when a bass sounds good from the get-go. My go-to for a J bass is always the Ultra Jazz but PJ's are a different beast.

I concurr with the Badass bridge. I have a hipshot Kickass on my MIJ Jaguar bass and it made a huge difference and they're not too dissimilar. And in tuxedo finish. Lovely.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Looks great. I'm totally happy with the Hipshot bridge I put on my Jazz bass.

changed the bridge. i always forget how meaty these bridges can be. i sent this photo to my friend and they just said "that is a himbo of a bridge" so i think that says a lot. the hipshot d-tuner is on order at the moment.

Looks awesome.

I like tHe pickguard as is personally.

Also that pao ferro fretboard (assuming it’s PF) looks really nice. You lucked out with that one.

It's probably because it sounds "the shit" that it has been played pretty hard, often the sign of a good instrument. There's a reason my #1 is covered in little dings and has finish cracking in certain spots - it gets picked up all the time. There's a good one on the butt where it goes into the stand.

Himbo isn't the word I'd use - I'd go for BADASS for 2 reasons - it's kinda Fender's version of a Badass bass bridge and it just looks badass. Extra metal mass = more sustain probably, right?

Pao Ferro is a decent fingerboard material; I find it feels almost identical to rosewood, just isn't as dark unless it's been stained, however rosewood -> PF is akin to ebony -> rosewood, in terms of colour. Just sometimes you can get ugly strips of it.

Jag is rosewood, Meteora is PF, Tele maple in the middle for contrast. You can see with the flash PF is lighter, but not hugely so.
2003 CIJ Fender Jaguar, sunburst (SJAG-3n neck, SHR-1b bridge, 500K lead circuit pots/speed knobs, Mastery bridge, Buzz Stop, Squier JM JM vibrato plate, modified whammy bar)

2022 MIM Fender Meteora, cosmic jade (top mounted input jack added)
