I prefer the term Canuckbucks. So I was right about 700 bucks or so (after taxes). Still tempting. Here’s hoping that my local L&M stocks one.
I stole that from Linus Sebastien of Linus Tech Tips, one of your fellow Canadians.
Ah... Long & McQuade... I used to shop every once in a while at their only US location in Parsippany, NJ. LOL

This is what’s making me wait a bit, I want a black rascal bass so bad but after seeing that shell pink one if they were to do a FSR in fiesta red with aged guard I’d buy it instantly!
Same with the xii, badly want the lake placid blue but do I wait a little see if there are any FSR with matching headstocks? Like a Troy van Leeuwen oxblood finish on the xii would be killer!

Some of these appear to be
out in the wild already.
Would have liked a mint guard on the black one as well vs. the sort of stark-looking pearloid.

Those Rascals really do look great.
From my one day of owning one of the originals though, I can tell you that they do not balance well. The bridge is too far up the body, so the neck sticks out way farther than other shortscale basses, and the upper here's strap button ends up way closer to the bridge, which totally throws off the balance. Compared to my Bass VI and my shortscale 4-strings, it felt longer than it should and had more neck dive.
All they had to do was set the bridge and neck an extra 1-2" into the body, and the ergonomics would have been amazing.

I wish there were more Squier basses that used the Wide-Range-style humbucker pickup.
Throw that in a Jazz, Precision, or Mustang and their style goes through the roof!
And - I'll be a heretic - I think this is especially true with a Jazz bass. The central failing for me is that Jazz pickups don't fit the style of the rest of the instrument. These humbuckers - and even a simple 50's Precision four-pole single coil - would be much cooler!

On which (country‘s) Fender site are you on?
I just can see Green and Black.
I could imagine quite some cool colors of these.
Shell Pink wasn‘t one of them originally… but has it‘s charm as well. Nice match with the Tortoise. Would love to see the Black one with Tortoise (or a Vintage White)…and that Mystic Seafoam of the Toronado would be my personal favorite (but they already got the green which I would have to see in real life. Looked cooler in the Andertons video).

US version, on the what's new section of the front page if you scroll down a bit, still there for me but the link brings you to an error page besides that. The Green and Black ones have a separate page that you can actually go on.
I don't think the pink ones are releasing alongside this batch of them but I bet they do a mid line color refresh like they did last time.
