I’m gonna out on a limb here: is it a Jazzmaster style build?

Actually no. Just thinking now if this even qualifies as an "Offset" guitar come to think of it. I'm sure the discussion has already been had about NR Firebirds (which this body is clearly based on), if it doesn't then feel free to move this thread.sal paradise wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 2:19 amI’m gonna out on a limb here: is it a Jazzmaster style build?

Neither Firebird is technically offset by Fender standards, but they’re both great guitars.
What sort of wood is that, Gary?

Good point! I was lulled into a false JM trap. Didn’t notice the waist.garyptaszek wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 2:34 amActually no. NR Firebird content is super exciting! I’m in love with them right now. Even been considering a Chinese build to get some left handed parts.
What is it gonna be?

Re: So I commissioned a custom built guitar...
A good question, one that might give away the location of the builder.BoringPostcards wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 2:36 amNeither Firebird is technically offset by Fender standards, but they’re both great guitars.

It's a NR Firebird of sorts but it will not have a Gibson scale length.sal paradise wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 2:37 amGood point! I was lulled into a false JM trap. Didn’t notice the waist.

If it’s a baritone N/R Firebird that’s the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time.
