I have to say as a Canadian living in the UK, trying to brush up on my French before a visit home to bilingual Ottawa this Summer, who loves offsets and watching the Ottawa Senators, this is proving to be the best thread ever :)

We derailed the thread. Sorry OP

At least it was a hockey chat, as those are rare.
Biggest, but coolest tread hijack ever!! ;)

Not my man. My team is the Ottawa Senators, although I admittedly have a soft spot for the Habs, due to my grandfather having been a lifelong fan.
Brad Marchand is the type of player you want to have on your team, but never to play against.
I HATE Marchand!! >:( >:( >:(
But I love Bergeron! My fav player :-* Bergeron playing for the Bruins is like Nickelback playing old sherwood green Jazzmasters.
C'mahhhhn, it's hard to hate the B's this year. This team is just so aggressively brotherly to each other. Ullmark and Swayman's relationship and post-game hug are the thing that Disney movie endings are made of.

Bonne chance!

Le mot presque ici est important :P

Thank god for Google Translate, hah. I totally understand the Marchand hate, he's just lovingly obnoxious to me (I say as I wear a Marchand T-Shirt...)

I really need to make it up to Montreal some day. I'd love to go to a B's / Habs game, and plus I've just heard that it's a gorgeous city. It's only about 5 or 6 hours from me too. Also, I need to buy all of the Coffee Crisp that I can.

I did the other way around. I went 2 times see the Habs at the Garden. I even saw a Bruins game without the Habs and cheer for them (dont tell this to my Habs Fan friends please!).

Boston and Montréal are very similar cities. Similar size, lots of university students, founded nearly at the same time, great music, great craft beer, etc... The major difference is the beautiful french speaking people you ear on the streets in Mtl ;)
