Yeah, I think Jaguar/Mustang-style slide switches would look better. And I'd want a rosewood board too.
Rosewood would be a better look. I reckon it'd be Pau Ferro in this price range.

But those little satin black rocker switches have no place on any guitar. Ever

I'd go pink just because most of my guitars are red or fiesta, to keep up with the red color scheme :D

I like the green one best but all three are very cool. From the Sweetwater listing images, the black and green ones look sparkley. That's pretty cool if they are. My only concern is the weight on these. I'd want to know that before giving into the usual impulse purchase mode. ;D

Have they said whether these are made in Indonesia or Korea? Because the price seems to be moving them into what I think of as "MIK Newart St" territory, but I'm not sure if they'll have that same quality.

The MIK Guilds are exceptional. I have two, and they're both easily nicer guitars than any of my MIM Fenders have been.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet.

The scarf joint headstock always worries me. Maybe an irrational worry.

Definitely no cause for concern. Scarf joints are far stronger and less prone to breakage on angled headstocks compared to one-piece necks. The fact that they waste less wood is a bonus.

Sherwood green metallic, Charcoal Frost metallic, and what looks like a metallic version of Shell pink. Looks like they know their target market very well :-/

OK, no worries now. Thanks.

Exactly! Why can't Fender figure this out? Give us cool colors, matching headstocks, and blocks.

Holy fucking shit infinitely cool so much better than the first version. I can’t believe I didn’t notice this thread until just now.

I’d prefer more switches and other busy shit but I kinda love it. No idea how I’d feel about those pickups together but the Littlebuckers on my Thunderbird are awesome so I assume those are cool too
