Might have to get a coral Bronco & flip it to lefty. And maybe change the pickup.
It looks really cool in that colour.

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Where you getting these pics from?Futuron wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 1:54 amIn addition to pics above:
Bronco also in white, and black.
HH Mustang also in California blue.
SS Mustang also in Torino red.
Pickups are ceramic. Prices are slightly higher than existing Bullet Mustangs, as to be expected.
Back of Mustang:
No contour there...

I have a shell pink Bronco. The pickup is a generic Strat ceramic affair. Doesn't even sound bad but the signal to noise ratio is really low. The single coil hum was driving me crazy. Very easy to fit a dual blade humbucker, though I wish I could put a proper gold foil pickup in there. Broncos are routed for full-size humbuckers.sal paradise wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 2:25 amMight have to get a coral Bronco & flip it to lefty. And maybe change the pickup.

The neck on mine is fantastic. Rolled edges too.

Re: New Squier "Sonic" series
that SS mustang would be fun to mess with and I dig the cheap-y burst vibe
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

The finishes on these look so plasticky, but I don't dislike them. With the Barbie film out this year, I wonder if they considered doing a marketing tie-in.

Here's the other HH (California blue). The only Mustang in the line that has a laurel fretboard (the others being maple). No back contour for the HH either.

Tahitian coral is awesome. I think I'll get the bronco and throw tape wounds on there for some thunk/thwap with a guild bisonic pickup swap. I also fully expect it to be as lovably awful as the bullet mustang. hopefully it's a step above the bullet.

Re: New Squier "Sonic" series
I am sad to see the body contours missing from the Sonic Mustang. I recently bought a bullet Mustang, which was the only Mustang available with contours, glad I did as I find contours make a guitar more comfortable.
I am digging the maple fretboards and the colour options on the sonic series. So cool to see the Bronco bass finally get an update. It’s been the same since the late nineties! I’m a little sad to see they replaced the cool looking two saddle bridge with a generic (but undoubtably better in terms of intonation) 4 saddle bass bridge. But I’m very happy to see that they got rid of the junky tuners that Broncos had, let’s hope these new sealed units are better.

Personally, I am delighted to see they all have single ply plain white pickguards. I hope the templates haven't changed.

Here are the Bronco bass and Mustang colors all in one place.

I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".
