Extremely tempted by the sunburst Mustang. One Toronado bridge later and it's a Duo-Sonic in a colour scheme I like for next to nothing.

I'm glad to see a proper bright purple on some of those, often purple guitars are just some kind of boring deep blue with just a drop of red in the paint.

I wish the single coil Mustangs had rosewood or contrasting neck color. The maple always sooooo pale.

You could always "suntan" the neck - i.e., leave the maple neck exposed to direct bright sunlight. It really does work and generally only takes a few days. Doesn't result in a fake orangy tint either. I've done it several times on pale, untinted maple with very satisfactory results and it costs nothing! :)

I’m also extremely tempted by it. It would need a new pickguard as well, but whatever. That one-ply with the wrong bridge cutout would have to go.

These look great - I think I'll get either the white or coral bronco bass, been after one for a while and these new colours are super nice. Anyone got any idea when they might be released? (Apologies if it's already been mentioned and I missed it).

NAMM is in April so probably then. I'm guessing dealers have already been able to order them.
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

I quite like the blue and pink mustangs, but I must admit I prefer the contoured bodies on the current bullet line. I presume it’s cheaper not to contour them, so I must admit I was surprised to see slab bodies on the Fender Offset/Player mustang series and slabs on the Squier bullets.

I'm gonna put some wide range hb's in that sunburst squier duo- stang so quick. Can't wait to hack at it and make it SY style guitar # 3 at my dojo.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

I might try this on the neck of a squier tele I was thinking about purchasing. Did you have to flip it over or do anything special to not mess up the finish?
