You could always "suntan" the neck - i.e., leave the maple neck exposed to direct bright sunlight. It really does work and generally only takes a few days. Doesn't result in a fake orangy tint either. I've done it several times on pale, untinted maple with very satisfactory results and it costs nothing! :)
I might try this on the neck of a squier tele I was thinking about purchasing. Did you have to flip it over or do anything special to not mess up the finish?
I just made sure to position it so that exposure was fairly uniform. I did turn them over to get some darkening on the back. As far as precautions, just use common sense. You wouldn't want to leave it in intense sun on a 100 degree day for the whole day. Unlikely to damage that finish I would think, as long as it just stays comfortably warm to the touch. It is the wood that darkens, not the finish. Incidently, you can do this indoors by sunlight exposure from a window - just not as fast.

The white on white Bronco bass took me by surprise. Think that looks really cool.

They’re up on sweetwater for preorder. Think I gotta snag a Tahitian coral bronco for my daughter.

I just saw these on the news a few minutes ago. I like them a lot: minimalist, affordable, and diverse ....
Cheaper than many pickups, too.
Glad to see them being made.

The single coil Mustang looks good. A lot
of people seemed to have modded the HH to SS and now here it is stock.

I just ordered the white Bronco bass from GAK, I dropped in there today as I was in Brighton for the day and they had a Tahitian Coral one in the store, gotta say it looked and felt really nice! Anyone else bought anything from this series yet?
