NGD: '70's style Marauder build
Finally got this thing assembled. The long pole was the pickups which Jaime from The Creamery made to look as much like the blue Marauder Type II prototype as he could. They actually got to Seattle and then were sent back to the UK by USPS for some reason.
In any case, I can't get over how cool this thing turned out. The concept is what a Marauder would look like if it got ordered in the early '70's in a natural finish with a black B+B neck. Dan from Guitar Form made the body, pg and plates. The neck is from the recent Musikraft group buy that forum members did. I was planning to use the Coronado style tuners like the prototype, but they didn't fit in the hole spacing that Musikraft drilled. I ended up using staggered, Kluson-style Gotoh tuners instead. The finish was done by my friend Tonar from the Unofficial Warmoth forum.

The word "sharp" specifically refers to this guitar. Really, really nice work!

Incredible. Looks so much like a project of mine that I've been dragging my heels on for like...two years.

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm glad others think this is a cool idea for an imaginary version of a guitar that never existed.
And here's another shot of the pickups
Here's a shot of the back. Dan (DeedPoll) did an awesome job finding a piece of ash that looks good with a transparent finish.

Incredible job!! That ash looks great. As someone who works for the post office I apologize that the pickups got sent back and forth lol
