NBVID
New Bass VI day
I'm waiting for a special build...it's a month overdue and I don't know when it's going to be done.
So, I got a little bored and had some extra cash. An old internet friend said in passing that he was going to sell his Squier VI...and I asked him about it. He definitely gave me a bro-deal.
Black. Stay trem bridge. I put on LaBella flats. It's still a little rattle-y...but it's ok and it plays nice. There's some nice grain on the fretboard, too.

If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Congrats, those Squiers are great, especially with a Staytrem and flats! You might be able to sort the rattling with a shim. My VM VI loves a steep neck angle. I think I shimmed it a full 1 degree, if memory serves.
I got mine back when they first came out and it remains one of the highest "fun per dollar" instrument purchases I've ever made. You just end up playing stuff on a VI that you wouldn't have played on a regular guitar or bass, even if it falls within the range of one or the other.
Hope you have a blast getting to know yours!

Re: NBVID
Thanks.
This is my third go-round with one.
I had a Schecter Ultra VI for a couple of years. It really was a splendid guitar...but GAS got the best of me and I sold it. I shouldn't have.
I also had a Squier VI refinished in IBM. I couldn't tame the floppiness...but I probably didn't try hard enough...IDK...
But here we go!

Black with tort is always a hot combo. Bass VIs are so much fun.
Enjoy!

Oh, I remember that one! That was so cool!
Can't go wrong with a black one, though. It's just a super classy look with a good tort guard. Congrats on the purchase and lots of fun with your new Bass VI!
Edit: I also recommend a shim.

Re: NBVID
This might not have anything to do with the cause of the rattle on your guitar, but in the case of my Bass VI, adding a second string tree cured it. Worth having a quick look at anyway.
