There's going to be an American Vintage 2 series apparently.

Apparently they now have also chanced the headstock to CBS specs. Everybody happy now?

My first thought was "can't wait for someone to mark these up as a misprint in the future" lmaoooo

I saw these earlier this week and was like "nah, there's no way, my eyes are playing tricks on me, they would never fix that", then I saw Mike Adams post about it and let out a good chuckle.

Still eyeing one myself, here's hoping I can pull it off this year lol

Gives me hope the AVII Jaguar exists and will be B&B with the proper headstock

Also hoping for the Jaguar. I guess they realized that we offset fans do matter and that we can make a lot of noise online.
Besides, accuracy is important with these reissues. Got to give each model the fair treatment, or why even bother?

This is great news! And I agree that somewhere a long the line the AV2's with the old style headstock will be claimed as more collectible. Now I await the Jaguar...

Would this then be AV2.1?

Well it looks like a '65 transition logo with the correct headstock but those were dots and binding, not blocks..

I think this goes to show that complaining sometimes gets you somewhere. I have to assume that this was a move in response to the reaction from potential buyers. It wouldn't make sense that they spontaneously started caring enough about accuracy to change it once production was underway, when they didn't care enough during the design and prototyping stages.

I think it looks so much better. Anachronisms on vintage reissues bug me more than they should, but it's clear I'm not the only one :D

Wonder what the deal would be if someone who has one of the smaller headstock versions wanted to change over. I don’t have one, but I’d maybe be a bit miffed if I did and preferred the CBS headstock.
