I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

People are nuts when it comes to customer service reps.

Beautiful, although it bugs me that they haven’t masked off the headstock to match the curvature of the fretboard.
Can see a little wedge of rosewood showing through the red on the close-up shot.
Pretty sure that's just a shadow from where the lighting is. Don't see it zooming in on the original pic from the other angle.
I do see it in the wide shot, and I don't think that's a shadow because according to the string tree and tuners the shadow the light is coming from the right of frame. So what would that shadow be? If the light were coming from the bridge it could perhaps be the shadow of the nut, but I don't see any other shadows in that direction. I think it's a fuck up.
Agree. I can’t see why there would be a shadow in that spot. The light angle isn’t right for that.

Trivial stuff in some regards, but if that was my guitar it would annoy the shit out of me. Why not spend an extra 30 seconds masking it correctly? Bizarre.

JFC, dude can't even get his inbox in order and he thinks he's some kind of hero. What a turd :D
He also seems to be adverse to capital letters and grammar.

He's also blocked me, which is hilarious.
I was going to say, it's quite a sight to witness someone going into full-on condescension with words like "whilst," without bothering to capitalize the start of a single sentence.

I cannot stand pseudointellectualism and performative condescension. It's gross to watch someone's vocabulary actively change the second they get pissed off.

It doesn't make you sound smart, buddy. It just makes you sound like a petty asshole.

‘Whilst’ is an interesting word - people write it, but almost no-one says it. Imagine if George Harrison had sung ‘Whilst My Guitar Gently Weeps’.

as for capital letters, why should the first letter of each sentence get all the fun? i believe in letter equality

Meanwhilst (ahem), I’ve never heard the term performative condescension but pretty sure I’m guilty of pseudointellectualism on occasions. It happens a bit on forums like this.

And stuff.

I’ve used whilst in speech a few times over the years, but I was most certainly being a turd for humour’s sake.

I’ve seen rants like that on Reddit. It’s almost worthy of being made into a copy pasta.

New ones popping up on reverb now with the proper headstock. Glad I didn’t spazz out and impulsively buy one at launch.

What are people's thoughts on new colours? Must admit I'm unsure how Fender have historically added/not added colours during a particular model run, i.e. AVRI62/65

What are you talking about? Those rare "Early '23" AV2s are gonna be worth big money!!!!!!!!!

Not likely to happen soon. I think they released/discontinued like a single color for the AO and AV65. I might be slightly wrong but either model had a pretty small amount of choices

Color variety will probably come from special runs for Anderton's/CME/etc..

Here's hoping. An OTM or Sherwood Green would be hard to resist.

Yes, about halfway through the AO cycle they dropped one colour (CAR for Jags, Olympic White for JMs) and replaced it with another (Daphne Blue for Jags, Ice Blue Metallic for JMs).
