There's going to be an American Vintage 2 series apparently.

So typical that almost immediately after I give up on this becoming a reality and go for it on a custom build that took like 6 months or something to finish, they go ahead and release this thing. To be fair, my ideal one is a Jag in LPB, but a Jazzmaster is like, a hair behind that.

Fucking vampires doing hard pulls on my credit for no reason, in turn dropping my score by ~150 points, and then justifying dropping my credit limit from $2,500 down to $200 because of said 150 point drop-ass piece of shit Synchrony bank ass hoes I FUCKING HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW YOU PIECES OF SHIT

I have seen almost all of the new line now, but this is the most important. Serials V2204600 and up is where you need to be looking
Nice hunting. Looks great but I have an OTM Vintera Jag and an IBM Vintera Jazzmaster, so feel I have the metallic blues spectrum covered. A 66 Dakota Red Jazzmaster would go very nicely beside my 3TSB AV65 Jaguar. Problem I have now is I'm trying to stick to a one in one out policy and I'm very happy with what I have already, which is already more guitars than I "need". Although as we've learned here in the UK recently, Fiscal Rules are there to be broken, and I don't want to be seen as part of the Anti Growth Coalition...

I didn't think I needed a Jazzmaster.

Then Jonny posted that LPB.

I think my savings are about to take a hit :? :? :?

If they aren’t going to do an American made jaguar then surely offer a few new colours on the vintera model!

If squier can do a billion different colours is it too much to ask for a little jazz up of the vintera model?

Glad it’s here. Strangely, I typically am bored with CAR, but this is one instance I wish they had it. Obviously Sherwood, CFM, and bmm would be awesome.

Would love to see some of all their current offerings in the flesh.

Hoping for some different finishes too. Maybe with limited edition runs or CME exclusives. I’m actually very excited about this. Even the sunburst looks right compared to the AO bursts. :jacked:

Not a Jazzmaster, but looks like another AVII leak.

Actually quite surprised that they're rocking the ash on these, I figured they were going to go with pine now with the decreased availability of ash. Tbh it'd be cooler if they were done in pine to make this series stand out among all the previous '52 style Teles.

The 65 instead of 66 headstock shape not a deal breaker for me.
Just to be clear, the headstock is correct for '66 as it was a transition period, but the blocks are not correct on that headstock, FYI!

As someone clearly naive to the whole discussion about vintage-correct specs: What’s wrong with the headstock? It looks lovely <ducks for cover>

Actually while I’m on the subject, what makes the block inlays correct on this vs other guitars with ‘incorrect’ blocks?
Bruv

All jokes aside, compare the blocks on this 60th anniversary Jaguar

to this '67:

and regarding the headstock, read some of my rants a couple of pages back. 😎

Thanks for the courtesy, with that said, the guitar is super nice and had it had a pale non-Trump orange'd lacquer (and the right headstock) I'd be soooo into this, but alas it wasn't meant to be. Definitely could consider one later down the line secondhand. This and the AO60s Tele in LPB. Also, the newly launched replica of Malcolm Young's Gretsch before he modded it to the shape we know today is giving me da heavy GAS, Flatulence City here we come.

I don't understand what is going on but I wish you a happy resolution nonetheless. 🙏

Ughhh, imagine going from the AV65 targetburst to the AO60s burst... 😳🫢🤢🤮 Anyway, glad it's back.

I spoke to my local shop this morning and they have earmarked a LPB to come in and check out when they land but I feel I might wait until some more colours show up.

If they do a BMM then I'll be buying the fuck out of it.

To be honest, that's why the headstock wouldn't bother me. It's authentic to 1966, and the fact we haven't seen one with blocks, doesn't mean there isn't one out there somewhere. A special order, an experiment, a mistake on the production line. You never know :)
