Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster
Thanks to rbrcbr for sharing that Guitar Center had one of these for sale. I have some nostalgia of this model from playing one in Los Angeles with my wife on a trip. I really liked it, but I couldn't afford one at the time. With her gone, it is a guitar that reminds me of a happy time and I am grateful to have it. It isn't mint, but I am good with that so I don't feel like I have to baby it. My wife took these pictures of me playing one in 2012 when we went to Anime Expo for convention work.

Congrats, that looks like a good one and thanks for sharing its back story. My heart goes out to you. I hope playing this guitar helps bring back those good memories.
Do you like the pickups? Any CuNiFe or other mods in its future?

These are such great guitars, congrats!
Mine is in constant rotation. The only change I made was to upgrade to Fender CuNiFe pickups and increase the pot value to 1M.

I really enjoy Fender WRHB in both versions. These are more like humbuckers in sheeps clothing, but I don't mind them. I might change it for fun at some point. Also might add Mastery stuff to it.
I didn't know the one pot isn't 1k. Is it 500k?
Thank you so much. It is a connection to a happy time for me. It is also beautiful on its own.javier-san wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 9:08 amGreat looking guitar and I'm glad that it's tied to happy memories for you. Wishing you nothing but kindness and warmth.
I think I will. I need to get it a nice military green strap. That was her favorite color.

It's been a few years, but my recollection is that the stock pot is 500k.ryland wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 8:57 am

The pickups that are in there really are just fine, I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the CuNiFe pickups...and I do love them.

Awesome you got that, brother. I hope it brings you a lot of good memories and also an inspired future.

Congratulations. What a nice story to have behind it as well. Was that picture of her taken at Ruby's on HB pier?

Good score. I’m jealous for sure. I wanted one of these, but they all disappeared, before I could snag one.

The single pot was indeed 500k.

I will probably pimp this out just to pimp it out. It is fine as is, but I want to do something special for it.
Thanks!antisymmetric wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 12:45 pmWhat a cool idea, I hope you find one. Very best wishes.
I think it will. If not anything, it makes me smile when I see it.
