Re: Lee Renaldo Jazzmaster
Nice guitar! I remember when this and the Thurston Moore JM came out. Maybe use that guitar to write some songs about your wife. That's what I would do. Good luck. As hard as it must be, gotta keep moving forward.

Re: Lee Renaldo Jazzmaster
The anniversary of my wife's passing is Christmas eve this year. I am sort of thinking that will be a good time to go through this guitar and make the updates. It will give me something to work on and a positive thing to do with my time. I am going to up the pot to 1meg, fill some dings in the neck, put a Mastery bridge on it, and add the screw in American Professional collet. That and strap locks should have this as a done deal for me to just enjoy and appreciate.

Re: Lee Renaldo Jazzmaster
Did yours not come with the Staytrem type bridge? Not to dissuade you from putting a mastery on instead, but I found the stock one to be the best Fender offset bridge I've played by far.
If you are going to change it out, keep me in mind if you want to sell the stock one...

The Lee Ranaldo sig comes with a standard Mustang bridge. Nothing special.ryland wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 11:00 amDid yours not come with the Staytrem type bridge? Interesting, it somehow seems more solid than the mustang bridges I have on other guitars.BoringPostcards wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 12:44 pmThe Lee Ranaldo sig comes with a standard Mustang bridge. The Ranaldo has the 0035555000 Mustang bridge, which is MIJ.

This will certainly seem 'more solid' than cheap import versions.

Lol, thank you. I know it's a minor thing but I couldn't un-see it you know how it can be with things like that

I get that way with some things too. It will be so distracting, I can't get past it to take in any info when something visually throws me off.

I can’t even begin to fathom the passing of your wife and what that is like and pray I never have to go through the same. Beautiful Ranaldo JM and for you on this anniversary of your wife’s passing. Best wishes.

Re: Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster
Thank you! I appreciate it. It is very strange. I still find myself looking for her when I am out doing things. Sometimes someone will look like her briefly and it stops my breathing for a moment. She was a great person and left a big hole behind. I know she would want me to not dwell, so I do my best moment to moment each day to do positive things.
