Cool!

Did beach dog get included as part of a surf special?
Unfortunately not. I didn't even notice the little rascal until afterwards to be honest...he/she has a great haircut!
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

So this popped up on Reverb yesterday and I negotiated a deal on it. 2017 Classic Lacquer 60's MIM:

...that'll do the job and wont need anything except one of the Staytrem's I have in the parts drawer.
Great Score! As close as you can get to an AV65 for a whole lot less Dinero! Well done!

Good score. Those Classic Lacquer models are the business. I wish they had them available in more colours.

Yeah, they were only Surf green and White for the Jazzmasters IIRC? I guess a refin wouldn't be too hard if I ever fancied it though.

Yup. Two options and neither being one I would spring for. I have played a few of them in stores and they were great. The Jags weren’t in a colour I like either. Sucks to be picky.
Edit: I looked it up just now and apparently they did the Jags in LPB!! I must find one now.

I don't mind Surf Green, it's certainly not one I'd usually pick given the choice but I only really have an adversion to red - CAR, Fiesta, Dakota....all of them can get in the bin as far as my tastes go.

I never really was into Blue guitars either but ended up with a couple that I love, so go figure. There's a couple of colours I've never managed to own one of and would like to...maybe I'll paint this one down the road to one of them (if it sticks around long enough). At least stripping it will be easy enough.

Yea, also not a fan of red, although I own a red competition Mustang. It eternally fills the quota of no red guitars.

Yeah, that was what held me back form buying one.. I got an AV65 JM instead & don't regret it.. Great Guitar!!! If I ever get a Back up it will be a Lacquer 60's... After all this time I've come to like the Green!! Very Cool Surf color!!!!

Hope that’s worked man, I’ve been keeping an eye out for a fiesta red one but this one’s a good price. I’m in Scotland right enough, so might be a hassle getting it to where you are. Edit - I’m not the seller or that byeway

That's in the next town from me. Happy to facilitate a trip across the pond if required.

Ah class, could maybe middleman it then if the boringpostcards person is interested.

Seen above you got a 60s Lacquer Jazzmaster, great guitars but the ones I’ve tried, like only 2 of them right enough, had quite thin necks compared to an AV65/AO. Just with you saying you wanted a chunkier boy man.

Also! meant to say, got the power conditioner hing, not had a minute to have a proper look at it yet, but thanks again man, appreciated.

What about minimalism? LOL!!! I’m pretty sure Chicago Music Exchange did some special color runs on the Lacquer 60’s JM’s & Jags.. Pretty scarce though.. I didn’t like green either but if I get a back up for my AV65 JM the Green would be fine.. It’s grown on me, I kinda
Ike it now.. Enjoy yours

Those are good guitars. I just dislike the overly tinted necks.
