Looks like the shipping dates have slipped further back for new orders. And I'm rather torn on the options. Not sure I love the laurel fretboards based on the photos I've seen so I'm leaning towards the walnut guitar and its maple neck.

I've got my eye on one of those for my Bronco bass... But I'm not sure I can justify putting a €105 gizmo on a €185 bass

I'm not sure at all it would work with the narrow string spacing of the VI, or with the short distance between the bridge and the pickup. You could contact the manufacturer and ask them.

I just ordered a regular ass black one. No one in Canada sells these sweet FSR colours and no dealers will ship here. Andertons has both LPB and Purple with matching headstocks and I can't get them.

Meanwhile this is the year of the Bass VI because of the Beatles documentary that was released and Fender seems to have been caught completely unprepared. Imagine if they'd bothered still making the MIJ or an MIM Fender model? Instead you have dickheads on Reverb charging 4 grand for early 2010's MIJ.

Web checkout disables the "complete order" button as soon as I input my address. States item in my cart cannot be shipped to the region I specified. I looked at their international shipping policies and Fender is one of the brands listed that they are unable to ship outside of the UK.

It's the same reason that US based Fender dealers can't ship Fender to Canada - regional dealer exclusivity contracts (Long & McQuade).

I've ordered a purple bass VI from Anderton's couple of days ago. It should be here on Thuesday according to DHL notification. I'll report back when it arrives.

Dude, next time just use one of us UK-based members as a proxy. I know I wouldn't mind taking in and reshipping a guitar for someone. Obviously there's the potential for issues with damages/returns but it's an option nonetheless

I don’t think it’s fenders contract with andertons…. It may be strictly a UK exclusive thing. Maybe they got legal shit from other dealers coz they were so loose with it….

Tried to order an epiphone exclusive from andertons to the states. Was showing the option to as a preorder, this was months earlier when they would still ship the uk exclusive mij sunburst jazzblaster.

Then months later once it came back into stock it wouldn’t ship it internationally, and can’t check out to a us address with the fender stuff as well at this time..

But yeah either way it sucks. Their international shipping rates were reasonable.

I was able to get the guitar I wanted (Squier FSR JM) from Thomann when Anderton's wouldn't ship to me.
