Mascis JM pickguard
Hi all,
I'm looking to replace the pickguard on one of my JMJMs with a nice tortoise one. Can anyone recommend one, or does anyone have experience fitting one from WD Music to a Mascis? (I won't be doing this myself and know absolutely nothing about the process). I was sent a tracing of one of theirs (the "Custom for Fender Original USA or USA Reissue Jazzmaster") but I have no idea when I'll get to a large format printer to compare.
Thanks!

I bought a mint Fender American Vintage guard and it fits my jmjm, though it's a bit thicker than the gold one. Nice option if you don't mind the misplaced truss rod hole at the neck.

You'll find most plastic pickguards are gonna be thicker than that the metal ones. I bet the mint guard looks greatFozzie Guillen wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 6:54 pmI bought a mint Fender American Vintage guard and it fits my jmjm, though it's a bit thicker than the gold one. Which 'Mascis'?
Fender Japan or Squier?
These are unlikely to be identical spec.

$69 says Squier
I was issued a warning for my dickhead joke so apologies, I meant no offense, just trying to be funny and doing a bad job of it I guess

The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

Hi all, thanks for the tips! To clarify, I have two Squier JMJMs.
(Edited my own question out bc I found my answer).
Ordered an AVRI tortoise guard and can't wait for it to arrive! I'm swapping out the Antiquity IIs for some Novak T-birds, and this thing is gonna be a BEAST.

I think this is an Allparts tort. I've also had a Spitfire tort on it and a super cheap one from the Stratosphere...they all fit fine.
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...
