Fenders Quality Control seems to get worse. The side dots would really bother me to be honest, but i am a little ocd so...

I've had all sorts of guitars and I don't think I've ever seen misaligned dots... what the heck?

Yes. This would definitely bother you if you are OCD.
So I went back and forth between Fender and GC. Fender won't send me a neck...I would have to bring it in to an authorized dealer and have it done. They told me I should just return it to GC. But, I really like the guitar and it plays great.
On the phone with the rep, I asked about a deal for something in the future...he didn't offer anything too big. So, I said ok. No problem...it's a a good guitar and I can live with the goofy dots.
He called back and said they will give me a 10% appeasement discount on the Jag.
So...that brings the cost of the guitar under $1k. I'm totally happy with that. I'm switching out the pickguard for an aged white guard later tonight.
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

I didn’t notice the side dots either, the first time I read the thread.
Wild error. I would be likely be drove nuts by it, but the discount would probably sway me to look past it.

Beautiful color. I’d give a testicle to get one in a left handed model. Those fret markers are way off. They need to make that right.

Ah, who pays attention to those dots anyway? He already knows how to play guitar.
If the guitar looks and plays good, that's all that matters.

Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Beautiful guitar. If it plays well I'd probably be ok with it, given the discount. If it bugged you that much, could probably have new ones installed and those filled.
That's an odd error. I wonder if the placement of those side dots was set up based on a 25.5" scale length or something?

Re: NGD Vintera 60s Jaguar
Well...it did kind of confused me when I went to put the capo on...
But let me tell you...this is a great guitar.
When I was a kid, my favorite animal was a jaguar. I was obsessed with them and I knew all the details about them. One year (I was in 3rd or 4th grade) I asked my mom for something "jaguar" for Christmas...I knew it wouldn't be a real jaguar; but, what if it was, you know? I could hardly wait until Christmas!
When Christmas came I opened my "jaguar" gift...It was jaguar print pajamas. I have to say...I was a bit disappointed. I was hoping for more, up to and including a real jaguar of my own.
But I wore those stupid pajamas until they were threadbare. The knees wore out...the crotch wore out...the elbows wore out. I think my mom threw them away one day when I wasn't home.
Later, in my teen years when I would have one of those crazy dreams about being in class and realizing I was naked...I'd dream (to my horror) that I was wearing those worn-out pajamas.
So, I've always wanted to love Jags more than I love Jms. But I hadn't. I always played the Jazzmasters more. I was kind of disappointed in myself for not liking Jaguars more.
Now I can say I'm true to my childhood dreams.
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...
