Inoran does too.
Not sure who he is but he has a few fender japan signature jms and they have buzzstops (or it may be just one, but it has a buzz stop)

Let me add to the craziness. I have 9’s on my squier jag with original bridge with no issues whatsoever. Just a high shim and set up and it plays great. I had gone down to 8’s on other guitars due to an arm injury and watching that beato video. Eventually moved up to 9’s. On this and my daughter’s supersonic.

Using 9/42 on my AV65, no modifications whatsoever, everything plays nice, low action, no buzzing, even using open D tuning and I'm not being gentle with the strings.

Fender introducing the angled neck pocket into this line made a big difference to those who like skinny strings
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

My lord. I never thought I'd see the day when Pat starts using buzzstops. How could you let him get this out of control?

It took him 15 years to finally bite the bullet...

hey there...
well yeah the bridge of my JM rattles and rolls, so i'm thinking about getting a buzz stop?
now, they aren't exactly cheap at around $30 plus shipping to mexico another 10, so... is it really worth it?
DOES it work? is there any way one can adjust this without having to buy one?

thanks and good luck!

Pat.

I thought people were supposed to get wiser as they got older. Guess that's a myth then too.

You’ve been gone too long. Things are different around here. :D
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

I have nothing to say about buzzstops, but I will add that I do use 10s on my Mustangs. I doubt I would go lower than 11 for a Jag though, as the break angle is so shallow.

I like how Pat has been reduced to clickbait thread titles. :jacked:

"Why I'm putting a pezio in my Crackwhore Jaguar"

"Why I'm switching from groovy gear to PRS"

True, I even heard it is something like 2-degree angle which is a bit much... But just yesterday I received Squier JM CV and no issues so far, but I'll give it time.

Going into this thread I thought the buzz stops would be the worst part, but there's folks out there using 10s on short scale... and apparently 12s for B tuning :derp: :fp:
