Can we get a petition for a new Jazzblaster?
I don’t care if it’s Squier or player series or whatever. The Lee Ranaldo sig is rare and too expensive. The Japanese one that just came out is limited and not readily available in the USA. It’s time for a jazzblaster with wrhb sized pickups. Put crappy fakes in there, I don’t care. I will buy the real deal Fender CuNiFe wrhb pickups to put in it! It’s a no brainer for Fender! Sell the guitar and then we spend money on those expensive pickups!

Make one from a Squier Jazzmaster or from parts , it will be even better ...

This would be such an easy project guitar. You could order everything in a day.

If you can swap pickups, you can build one. When I finally get around to finishing it, my 2nd JM will bu a PAF based Jazzblaster of sorts. I think? I mean, I'm putting in a pair of Novak JM-PAFs but I'm keeping the traditional wiring because I actually really like the rhythm circuit.

I feel the spirit of the Jazzblaster is that you piece it together yourself.

Don't you still need to rout the pickup depth (unless you go with JM pickup sized WRHB-alikes)? That's a bit more involved than swapping in a Staytrem or something.

My plan might be to buy a CV Jazzmaster and mod it. Just seems like an oversight on Fender’s part. But yeah I think some routing will be required to do it properly and that’s maybe a bit more than I’m used to. I’ve never used a router.

I've been considering having my Jaguar routed into a Jagblaster but I need to find a tech I trust - it's hard enough finding someone who's used to working with offsets in general.

I mean, all they have to do is CNC a few MIA Fender bodies and put the CuNiFes in those, and then do the same with a few Squier ones and put the crappy lookalikes into those and you'd have two news guitars made from pre-existing parts at two different price points that would probably sell a few thousand each.

I don't think they have many MIA bodies laying around judging by the number of people complaining about backorders.Ceylon wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 8:29 amI mean, all they have to do is CNC a few MIA Fender bodies and put the CuNiFes in those, and then do the same with a few Squier ones and put the crappy lookalikes into those and you'd have two news guitars made from pre-existing parts at two different price points that would probably sell a few thousand each.
They have made lots of variants of HH offsets over the years that I don't think have sold that well?

I turned my JMJM into one and it required a little bit of routing but it wasn’t bad, just needed to make the existing channel a bit deeper
