A Bass VI in a cool colour? Wow. An olive baritone is curious.
I don't do Affinities but the Classic Vibes look incredible, I'd better look away...

Gimme the Jazzmaster in that Olive green colour and I'll buy it. Would also be cool in Burgundy mist metallic.

I hope someone does these on this side of the pond, maybe CME? I really like the LPB Jazzmaster!

I'd love a Jazzmaster or Jag in Olive Green with matching headstock. Tried out an AmPro Jag in olive green in a shop about 5 years ago. Bit out of my price range but I remember loving the colour - Fender had quite a few guitars in that colour around that time.CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 11:39 pmGimme the Jazzmaster in that Olive green colour and I'll buy it. Holy Mother of C**ts! If I had a spare £600 right now. I don't even care that it has no rhythm circuit. That colour!DavidG wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 5:56 amhttps://www.andertons.co.uk/fender-limi ... -headstockJPCordingley wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 5:16 amI'd love a Jazzmaster or Jag in Olive Green with matching headstock. I have that olive player Jazzmaster with the matching headstock. Got it from CME and love it. No rhythm circuit but it is routed out to add it later if desired. I’m not going to bother, the series option on the selector switch is awesome!

Those blocks though. I wonder why they don't have the specs closer to vintage? Does anyone know? Is it the factory? Do the Fender chiefs 'forbid' correct blocks on Squiers and newer Fenders?

I see that comment all the time around here. I don't understand what's wrong with the blocks, or why it's such a deal-breaker for many people who seem to want at least a bound neck, if not bound with blocks...

I agree, It's such a small compromise considering they got everything else pretty much correct about the design.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 6:33 pmI see that comment all the time around here. It’s subjective to be sure. For some people Coke, Pepsi, RC, and supermarket colas are all basically the same. You could make a similar analogy with bourbon, blended whisky, certain wine varieties, and many other things.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 6:33 pmI see that comment all the time around here. For me, there is something really cool about correct Fender blocks. Warmouth seems to only do Gibson-style blocks and it really bugs the hell out of me.
In the past ten years or so Fender and Squier have been releasing more and more B&B necks, but when the measurements fail to live up to this golden block measurement ratio that exists in my head they might as well just be dots.
Obviously a lot more people prefer dots and the classic looks. B&B is a niche fan base, so it’s not like as many people will freak out about these types of details like they do with all the Pre-CBS guitars. I suspect most people who like blocks don’t give a shit, and that’s cool by me— seriously. But the small group of us ‘correct’ block types… we just can kinda tell. I’m willing to give a few millimeters here and there, but after that I’m out.

They are pretty awesome guitars. I got mine from CME but it looks like the exact same thing. I oiled up the fretboard and then dropped in a jazzblaster pickguard.gutter rock wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 2:25 pmI have that olive player Jazzmaster with the matching headstock. This guitar wins the forum, IMO.
Perfect (apart from the 22nd fret overhanging fretboard).
