Weight of Johnny Marr Jaguar

My Johnny Marr Jaguar is pretty heavy. Since I bought a CS lightweight Tele, the difference is night and day. I understand that Jaguars are heavier since it has a lot of chrome parts but I was curious what is the average weight of this model. How much does your Marguar weight?

Mine's right around 8.5lbs.

Mine was almost 9 pounds.

The chrome isn't really the difference maker - it's a big body with small pickup routs and there seems to be less 'lightweight alder' out in the world now. If you find one near the low end of 8 pounds it would be a miracle.

I've got 8.875 lbs, but that's with a Mastery kit.

Jaguars are heavy guitars (usually >8.5 lb) and the Marr is no exception.

I’ve had a couple, one was 8.3 pounds, my current one is a shade under 9 pounds.

Okay I was worried that I got a exceptional heavy one. Mine is 8.85 lbs. Will it be heavier with a mastery? I have a mastery bridge and thimbles on it. Thanks for all your replies

I think my first Marrguar was just over 8 lbs - one of the original run. I sold that one after getting a Sherwood without realizing how rare that weight was.

Current Marr is 8.4 with OEM parts but by and large they seem to run 8.5 to 9. Evan the FCS stuff seems to run around that weight.

Not by any meaningful margin, if any. Like others said, the weight is mostly the wood of the body.

I have two of them, and I looked for a long time before buying. Both of mine are just under 8.5 lbs. I've seen one Marr Jaguar listed at 13 lbs, so I'd def make sure you know the weight before you buy one.

Mine is 8lbs and 1.4 oz, pretty lightweight. Has mastery upgrades but I think the affect of weight is negligible.

This thread made me check my squier CV Telecaster & OBG Les paul custom- both are 3.8kg = 8.4 pounds

I’ve had jags that felt lighter than that for sure.

Theres a White one on Reverb that is supposedly 7.8 lbs.
